Advanced Challenge

(All pictures are from Google Images, I don't own them)

Being sick with strep throat can really tire a person out. It seems that is all what I've been doing the past few days. Today I'm starting to feel better...except for the sweating from my fever breaking and the headaches. YUCK! So, anyways, back to the season at hand. As you have read this season is called Advanced Challenge. There are 52 episodes and 10 volumes. Most of these volumes are pretty inexpensive. Here is the list of volume titles.

Volume 1: Love at First Flight
Volume 2: Maxxed Out
Volume 3: Cheer Pressure
Volume 4: Manectric Charge
Volume 5: Take the Lombre Home
Volume 6: Go Go Ludicolo
Volume 7: Six Pack Attack
Volume 8: That's Just Swellow
Volume 9: Sky High Gym Battle
Volume 10: Pokeblock, Stock and Berry

Like I said earlier, these volumes are pretty inexpensive to buy. I have 3 out of 10 volumes so far. Still trying to collect some of the other seasons and movies as I go. As always, E-Bay and Amazon are a great place to start. Any question? Comment below and I will try to answer.

Pokemon Advanced

(All pictures are from Google Images, I don't own them)

Here is the 6th season in the Pokemon anime franchise, of course, entitled Pokemon Advanced. There are 40 episodes in this season and 8 volumes. I think I remember seeing this season in box sets, but I'm not sure how many there are. There might be 4 sets with 2 discs in each set. Here is a list of volume titles:

Volume 1: A Ruin With A View
Volume 2: Tree's A Crowd
Volume 3: A Bite To Remember
Volume 4: Stairway To Devon
Volume 5: A Hole Lotta Trouble
Volume 6: A Three Team Scheme
Volume 7: Abandon Ship
Volume 8: Jump For Joy

These DVDs are pretty inexpensive to buy. You can find them on almost any major online store pretty cheap. I paid around $5 - $10 for each of these volumes. Remember, these number are around what I paid for them. That may not be the same case for you. I currently own all 8 volumes and I didn't spend a whole lot of money on this season. If you have any questions, comment below!

It's a...Master Quest!!!

(All pictures are from Google Images, I don't own them)

So this is the 5th season of Pokemon titled Master Quest. There are 64 episodes in this season. Thank goodness there are only 2 boxed sets for this season with three discs in each boxed set. These are also pretty expensive and can run anywhere from $100 and up. These numbers can change, but this is what I have seen online. Luckily, this is the last of the most expensive seasons on the market at this moment in time. This season has the 2nd highest number of episodes in the series so far. I don't own any of these boxed sets yet. I am trying to, at least, finish collecting the last of the least expensive DVDs first. But hey, if I ever decide to sell my entire collection, I could make some serious moula off of it. ;-P If any of you are interested in purchasing these sets for your collection, good luck and be ready to cash out some dough for them. If you have any questions or comments, post below peeps!

Season 4, Johto League Champions

(All pictures are from Google Images, I don't own them)

The cover arts for this season are in order. The season, of course, is entitled Johto League Champions. There are 52 episodes in this season and it has 7 volumes. Here are the titles to the volumes;

Volume 1: Journey to the Johto Leage
Volume 2: Road to the Johto League
Volume 3: Distance to the Johto League
Volume 4: Path to the Johto League
Volume 5: Way to the Johto League
Volume 6: Circuit to the Johto League
Volume 7: Journey's End

Like the previous season, this season is also pretty expensive due to the fact that they are not in print anymore...I believe... The VHS's are cheap, if you know what VHS's are. Ha Ha! I actually have a VHS player that my grandpa had given me before he passed away. He said, "Sugar, I don't know if it even works anymore, but if you can figure it out, you can keep it." So, a little cleaning later and it worked perfectly. Of course, everyone would rather have the DVD instead of the VHS. Prices for these DVDs vary in price from $30 to $200. I currently have 3 out of 7 volumes in my collection so far. E-bay and Amazon are a great start to look for them for your own collection. If you have any questions or comments, don't hesitate to post. Thanks!

The Johto Journeys!

These are covers for all volumes of the third season of Pokemon titled The Johto Journeys. There are 41 episodes in the season with 13 volumes. The volumes have different volumes titles, so I will list them. (The volumes are from 39 - 51 for this season, just so you know.)

Volume 39: A Brand New World
Volume 40: Midnight Guardian
Volume 41: Mission Spinarak
Volume 42: Snow Rescue
Volume 43: Flying Ace
Volume 44: Fire Power
Volume 45: Team Green
Volume 46: Crimson Warrior
Volume 47: Azalea Adventures
Volume 48: Buggy Boogie
Volume 49: Squirtle Squad
Volume 50: Midnight Heroes
Volume 51: Ursaring Rampage

This season, by far, (for me anyways) is the hardest season to buy/find. The reason why is not only were they aired in 2000 - 2001 in the US, but sadly they are also out of print...wait for dramatic pause...recently on Wikipedia under Pokemon Anime, The Johto Journeys, someone posted that VIZMEDIA, who owns the rights to the DVDs, announced on Facebook that they will finally be re-releasing the season on a complete boxed set early 2015. I personally looked on their page and website and could not find anything that would suggest they were. I did, however, leave a question about it for them. Maybe I will hear from them...As soon as I do, I will surely post it. There is a lot of talk about this season. A lot of anime fans say that this is the worst season of Pokemon. I liked it a lot. So maybe you don't want to buy it. You can always watch it on YouTube or the Pokemon website. Some volumes of this season can run about $500+, if you are interested in buying. I happened to buy for for a steal at $30 on E-bay. All I have to say is, GOOD LUCK, if you are planning on adding these to your collection. I only have 7 out of 13 in my collection so far. I don't even want to say how much money I have spent so far... Well, if I ever decide to sell and they are still out of print, I will certainly get my money back on them. :-D  As always, leave any comments or questions below regarding this season.

Season 2, Adventures on the Orange Islands

This is the cover art for the 2nd Season DVD. There are 36 episodes total in this season. I really enjoyed this season as I was watching through the series. This is the season where Ash's Charizard starts to obey and respect him as a trainer. And, of course, Ash rescues a cute baby Lapras. There is only one box set for this season, which makes it very convenient when trying to collect the DVDs. As with season one, this season is also pretty inexpensive. I think I only paid around $20 for mine. Although prices may have changed since I bought it. I normally have bought all of my DVDs online as they are easier to track down and buy. You don't have to worry about time, gas, and any other reason you can think of. I knew someone that wasted a tank of gas to drive to a store that ended up selling it before she could get there, but such is life. (lol) As always, feel free to comment below with any questions about this season.

Season 1 of Pokemon....Indigo League

So this is the cover art for the first season boxed sets. This season has the highest number of episodes of any Pokemon season so far, with 80. It began airing in 1998 through 1999 in the US. This is what started it all. If anyone has ever watched and I'm sure if you're reading this, you have. Ash is late to get his first Pokemon and Professor Oak gives him Pikachu as his first instead of Bulbasaur, Squirtle, or Charmander. You meet Team Rocket with their talking Meowth and what-not. These are pretty inexpensive and you can purchase them online at most of the major stores sites. If you have a good mall around your area, some stores carry a lot of the Pokemon DVDs. I think I paid around...maybe $20 or under on each of the boxed sets. Don't take my word for it, prices may have changed since I bought them. Amazon is always a good place to start though. ;-) If you have any questions about this season, just comment below!

Well...Let's Begin!

It can be quite frustrating looking for old DVDs. Whether it be for TV shows, movies, or even Anime. I have recently been collecting television seasons. Between Wikipedia, E-Bay, or Amazon, it is confusing to create an accurate list of DVDs or volumes. This blog will be of these lists of DVDs and books so that no one will have to be confused. I might even add a little review in there, just because it will be cool for me. Ha ha! I guess we shall see how this goes.
